My Blog

Everything in this experience has been interesting and a little fun because I have been able to know better my classmates and her/his lifes. They whit her blogs have opened emotionally and they tell stories of their past and their family, I discover things of my friends that I didn’t know before, and it made me feel more in confidence.

At the time of writing for classes, I have always had difficulties in writing and to connect my ideas, I ramble a lot. In blogs I don’t have that problem since I write my experiences and what I feel, I express myself better

I would like to include dialogues of plays, we would help too much with the phonetics, to be dialogues already written there would be no problem to memorize the words we would interpret characters would be very funny.

The truth that in my blog I would like to write love stories from my past, anecdotes that I had to spend with my partner, and maybe my love life can serve as advice for other people or young people who start having love partners. I would also like to write about the life of the night that I had to see and live in my life, the city at night is very different from how it is during the day

Crazy things

Okay, the truth is that I always have difficulties remembering dreams, in fact if I try to remember them I end up with headaches and forgetting everything. Sometimes the only thing that makes me remember my dreams are the people that appear in them.

It happened very recently, I do not remember how the dream began, but I was on my way to a friend's house, because she was on birthday and I was quite excited, I was going with a friend, out of nowhere things got out of control and I remember that I put on a tiger costume, everyone had disguised themselves on the birthday, we were walking on a beach, celebrating and singing, for some reason my ex boyfriend was also on his birthday, I remember he was always watching me.

After a while of walking, we came to a waterfall and we all got into the water, the lights of the sky shone along with the fireworks that started to sound, from one moment to the next they all began to kiss.  I remember that I fell into the water and I was unconscious, I woke up in a hospital scared and without remembrance how I got there, it was a destroyed hospital and I saw how my ex-boyfriend went hand in hand with my friend, it felt like a betrayal. After that, the zombies attack the hospital ...... then i wake up

Maybe it's a premonition because tomorrow I'll go to a friend's birthday, or maybe I'm just crazy.

Social history

Social history of Chile is one of my favorite classes, although it starts very early and almost always arrives late, but the content of the classes taught by Professor Daniel Faure is the most interesting thing I've heard, I can learn about the same story from my university and about very freaks that have happened in Chile, hidden things.

The way in which the teacher expresses is very eloquent and funny, there was once a baby cat in the classroom and as we were all distributed with the cat, he grabbed it and held it in his arms while passing the information, it was a very particular way to get our attention.

I was learning about the popular group of Chile through the history, social struggles and injustices that lived and still live today, some organizations are now born many years ago, and are in charge of fighting for their rights and having a better social environment.

The only problem I have with this subject are the notes, I have problems with eloquence at the time of giving the tests, I ‘m inspired by the great attitude of the teacher but I can’t express well

Lena Dominelli

Lena Dominelli is a professor of Applied Social Sciences and Academician in the Academy of the Learned Societies for Social Sciences, is an experienced educator, practitioner and researcher and has published extensively in the fields of sociology, social policy and social work. Besides her position in the School of Applied Social Sciences and Co-Director, Institute of Hazards and Risk Research, The University of Durham.

I admire her because her work focuses on issues of great relevance such as global warming, Lena argues passionately for the realisation of human freedom from social inequalities and injustices in her writings, policymaking forums and communities seeking to change their social and physical environments. Her current research interests include: climate change and environmental social work; globalisation; social and community development; social change; women’s well being and welfare; motherhood; fatherhood; child well-being and children’s rights.

She is part of the green social work, which focuses on reducing rather than growing, seeking sustainable development, it is often thought that development and growth are synonymous, which is the opposite of green social work

Banksy

Banksy is the pseudonym of a street artist of his true identity very little is known and most are rumors, he is from Ingland, he born in 1974 and grow up in Bristol, he doesn’t let many media approaches him.

Started with graffiti during the aerosol boom in the decade of 80s, his art is related with de pop art and he use stencils for express himself, whit a criticize point of view.  He began his work in the streets of Bristol, his hometown, between 1992 and 1994. In 2000 he organized an exhibition in London and after that he painted his paintings in cities around the world.

 Banksy uses street street art to promote different visions to the mainstream media. Shows the political intention behind his so-called "criminal damage".

I met him (his work) when I was at school, I had to create stencils to make a work of art, I had to be inspired by the.  I like his way of criticizing, sometimes he reveals things to me or he just makes me smile because he shows what I think

A wonderful picture

This picture was taken two years ago by me, I worked in the movistar arena in the ohhigins park, I remember that day, I was very tired and had to go to work, it did not stop raining and it never stopped, literally I wot my whole body.

I was wearing a jacket and everything but that didn´t stop me from dying of cold, and when everything seemed horrible, the rain stopped and a little bit of sun came out, out of nowhere it started to see a rainbow, it was very beautiful, its colors looked super marked and out of nowhere a second rainbow started to appear.

It was a moment that deserved a photo, and I took many photos hahaha I like it too much because it captures a moment that is seldom seen, it was the first double rainbow I had seen in my life

My pets from my past

I have not had a pet for a long time, I almost always had canaries that my great-grandfather gave me, but I never made ties with those canaries, it made me sad to see them locked in cages.

If there is a pet that I will always remember, she was a little dog named Dolly, tiny and with black hairs, I got it because it was my dad's when he was little, when I lived in Padre Hurtado we had a lot of space for her to live, I bathed with me in a plastic pool, slept with me and protected me, it was quite happy.

When we moved to live in apartments, Dolly had to go to live in my grandmother's house, I went to see her every weekend and I played with a hose with her, one day she died, it was very important for me because she was my friend during my childhood and until today she was my only pet.

The photographic camera

the camera is an object, which serves to capture images of what you want, capture the moments on paper. My first camera (not counting the phone) was given to me on my 16th birthday, I use it whenever we go to new places or just to capture landscapes that my mind may not remember exactly

The photography camera has always been an instrument that catches my attention, I find the ability to capture moments and experiences in images incredible.

It is said that in cultures where this technology is not yet introduced, the people of these places think that one captures their souls in the photos, scares them in some way, I find interesting the way they see it, it may capture my soul ( i hope not)

I use it from time to time, life has me so busy that I do not have time to capture some beautiful moments, I like to collect those images to preserve those experiences in the future. I do not know what I would do without being able to take pictures, I could not share what I have lived in the same way, I would lose a part of the life that I love, that is to show beautiful things to the rest of the people.

My career

When i was a child like every child(i think) I wanted to be a veterinarian, i loved the animals, i still do, but my interests at school were changing to work whit  people

My first choice for my career was psychology, but with the time my options transformed and expanding, with my classroom went to the university of chile in the Street “boucheff”, where i went to a talk, in that talk i listened the teacher Gabriela Rubilar (a teacher that i know now) and she inspire me to study and dedícate myself to social work, she inspire me to fight fot the rights of people, to help the rest and my soul was filled with optimism and change.

Now i study social work, this is my first year and a I've met very funny people, very kind and very special, I feel that I fit in this environment, I feel complete studying this career

My name is Alejandro Castro, I was born in the city of santiago of Chile in the date of 14 of June, my mother and father bring me to life when they got only seventeen years old. My whole childhood was travel in house to house, we don't has much money and we were always leasing houses of other people. The great part of my upbringing was in the commune of Father Hurtado, this commune is a bit more south of Santiago. I spent my basic education studying in a christian school where I was quite shy. My secondary education was better, I passed it in the national high school of maipu; I met incredible people with whom I still have contact. I am currently studying social work, and it is the career that I will devote myself to in life

I was a rare guy, in this time know i was incomplete. I deceived myself with what I really was, I was ashamed of practically everything, it is difficult to remember exactly what I lived, but there are events that mark the life of each one.
